Vincent Stempel is one of the founding members of Stempel, Catterson, LoFrumento, Carlson, Biondo, LLP. Vincent has exclusively practiced matrimonial law since 1985. Vincent has expertly handled all aspects of matrimonial and family law during the course of his 38+ year career. He has successfully tried many cases to completion and focuses on detail orientated settlement agreements for his clients.

Vincent is recognized by the bench and Bar as an expert in the field of matrimonial law. As such, he has given countless lectures to his colleagues. He has lectured before the New York State Bar Association, Nassau Academy of Law, Suffolk Academy of Law, Nassau County Bar Association, Practicing Lawyers Institute (PLI), American Inn of Court and has been invited several times to the New York Judicial Institute to give lectures to the state’s matrimonial judges on various topics of matrimonial law. Vincent is a former adjunct professor of law at his alma mater St. John’s University Law School.

Vincent is also the former Chair of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, a national organization with stringent admission criteria. Vincent is also a member of the Attorneys for Children Advisory Committee for the Tenth Judicial District, having been appointed by the Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division Second Department.

Vincent has been listed in the Best Lawyer’s in America, New York area edition consecutively since 2006, listed as one of the top ten leaders of matrimonial and divorce law on Long Island since 2004 and annually listed in New York’s Super Lawyer’s.
